Microdermabrasion

If you are looking for a non-invasive way to fight the signs of aging, microdermabrasion could be a good fit for you.

Microdermabrasion is an innovative anti aging skincare procedure that buffs away the top layer of skin to reveal fresher, clearer skin underneath. Derma Genesis and Oxylight Diamond microdermabrasion are clinically proven procedures for reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, eliminating acne scars and for treating sun damaged skin.

Diamond Microdermabrasion

DIAMOND ABRASION IS AN APPLICATION WHICH UTILIZES CRYSTAL-FREE MICRO-ABRASION. THE APPLICATION:

Comprises a hand piece utilizing suction via a wide range of diamond encrusted tips with ergonomics designs that are shaped to fit the face, eyes lips and body

Promotes a deeper, more thorough exfoliation which is vacuumed to multiple filtration systems;
Resurfaces and polishes the skin with no downtime.

Crystal Microdermabrasion

Crystal microdermabrasion has been around the longest. As its name implies, the technique uses a wand to spray fine crystals over the face. As the loose crystals abrade the skin, an attached vacuum sucks up dead skin cells and used crystals with every pass. Crystals are most often made from nontoxic aluminum oxide or organic sodium bicarbonate

What is microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion by Genesis Biosystems, Inc. uses either medical grade crystals or disposable crystal-free exfoliation tips to remove the dead, outermost layer of skin. The skin exfoliation process reveals new, living skin cells that are soft, smooth and receptive to nutrients.

What conditions does it treat?

Microdermabrasion is used to treat and/or diminshes

  • Fine lines
  • Wrinkles
  • Sun-damaged skin
  • Oily skin
  • Acne-prone skin
  • Oily skin
  • Blackheads
  • Whiteheads
  • Dry or patchy skin
  • Superficial age spots
  • Hyperpigmentation

How does it work?

The procedure is performed by using a hand piece that the operator passes over the skin two or three times. This evenly removes the stratum corneum, the outermost layer of the skin.

The underlying epidermis is also stimulated by the abrasion and the vacuum. This promotes the generation of new collagen, which thickens the dermis and improves resistance to the effects of aging.

How many treatments will I need?

The typical patient receives four to six treatments spaced seven to ten days apart. The average procedure takes less than 30 minutes, depending upon the skin condition, the area to be treated, and the desired outcome. Microdermabrasion is fast, predictable and painless: the perfect lunch hour peel.

Why choose microdermabrasion?

A safe, non-invasive, and virtually painless procedure, microdermabrasion is an excellent alternative to lasers and chemical peels. With more than 15 years of success in the USA and nearly 30 years in Europe, microdermabrasion has been used to treat millions of satisfied people.
